FAQ's

Q:    Do you sell financial products?
A:    No, we do not sell financial products such as insurance,  investments or mortgages.  If you need any one of these financial products, we can refer you to a trusted business that does handle these products.  When Operation Crusader was founded, we purposely chose not to offer any financial products.  This way we can focus on what we do best, financial coaching and education.  There is no thought of earning a commission and we are able to stay neutral.

Q:    What qualifies you to be a financial coach?
A:    This is question that I wished more people would ask.  There are two parts to the answer.  First is the Biblical side of the equation.  All of my college training has focused on the Bible.  I have attended and graduated from two Bible Colleges and my degree is in Biblical Studies.  The second part of the equation focuses on the financial side of things.  Currently, I have about 20 years of experience with a vast array of financial products.  I have sold insurance as well as trained insurance agents. I have also sold investments and mortgages and have done retirement planning, as well as personal financial coaching.   All of this experience has been focused on helping families use these products for their benefit and not to benefit the banks or insurance companies.

Q:    Are you a Financial Planner?
A:    No.  Our role is not that of a CPA, Tax Adviser, Insurance Agent, Investment Professional or a Mortgage Officer.  Our focus is that of financial coaching and we take more of an overall approach to a family's financial situation.  When a family needs financial products, we encourage them to talk to a licensed professional.

Q:    Why is the coaching so inexpensive?
A:    Most people believe that you get what you pay for but, with the current technology we can keep our overhead very low.  Our goal is to provide education to a broad array of people.  We want everyone to be able to take part and not be denied access because of finances.  We measure success not by how much money we make, but how many people we help.

Q.    Do you work with Non-profits?
A.    We love to work with non-profits.  Non-profit organizations work closely with people.  We work side by side with you to help your members understand and win the financial game.  We offer speaking and teaching as well as all of our one on one coaching.

Q.    Is Operation Crusader a religious organization?
A.    Operation Crusader works closely with churches and the founder is a Christian.  However, when we work along side of businesses and non-profits, we understand that we are there as your guest.  We do not broadcast religious viewpoints and our goal is not to have someone change faiths.  Our mission is to help that person or family better handle their financial lives.

Q.    My members are across the state, how can you help me?
A.    There are many ways that we can help.  Many organizations come together for conferences and training.  We can help by offering a personal financial workshop for that training.  Also, with technology, we have online conference rooms and an online office.  We often meet people privately online allowing us to meet without our clients ever leaving their homes.  All they would need is a computer, internet access and a phone.

Q.    Are there any non-profits that you will not work with?

A.    Yes.  Most non-profits do a wonderful job.  There are a few, however, that violate some of the founding principles that Operation Crusader was founded upon.  We reserve the right to respectfully decline working along side of those non-profits, businesses and churches.

Q.    We have a financial ministry, so how can you help?
A.    Most churches that I have worked with have financial ministries.  The challenge that they face is that they are focused the wrong direction.  Within each church, there are some people doing well.  There are some people really struggling and a group of people right in the middle that will never tell you how they are doing financially.  Most church financial ministries are geared towards the people that are struggling, creating a stigma for anyone else to participate.  We approach things differently.  Our focus is on the majority of people right in the middle.  We work closely with them to help them become Godly stewards.  This provides the foundation for a real financial ministry within the church.

Q.    Is doctrine an issue?
A.    One of the things that make Operation Crusader so successful is that we only focus on the Biblical teaching of financial principles.  Our desire is to see people become the steward that God intended and to develop a relationship with Him.  We disciple people financially while you disciple them spiritually.

Q.    How much does it cost us?
A.    We do not charge the church anything.  All of our income comes from the individuals we are coaching.  We offer speaking and teaching within churches as well as offer free sessions and webinars.  If the church would offer an honorarium or a love offering, we would appreciate it.

Q.    Where is the best place to use your services?
A.    Operation Crusader works well in many situations and places within the church.  We have worked closely with mid-week services as well as Christian Ed, Men's Ministry, Woman's Ministry and Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening services.  We tailor our approach to best fit the need of the group in which we are working.  Our goal is to make the information easy to apply in everyday situations.

Q.    Why would a business want to use Operation Crusader?

A.    Employee productivity is directly influenced by personal financial stress.  Most people cannot leave their personal issues at the door when they come to work.  Some companies are even bringing in financial counselors to help its workers have peace about their personal finances allowing them to focus on their jobs even more.  This produces increased productivity.

Q.    How do you work with my people?

A.    We are available to speak at any company event and even provide financial workshops.  Most of the coaching that is done happens when the employee is at home away from work hours.  As they take charge of their financial lives they learn to set and accomplish goals which makes them better employees.

Q.    Can this be a benefit to my employees?
A.    Yes.  In fact, this is an effective way of meeting issues head on.  We offer your employees a discount for our services.  Some companies would like us to come in each month and meet people at the office for random issues.  For this, we would request a fee for our time.  Other than that, we do not charge the business anything.

Q.    We are a real estate company, can we use your services to help our clients?
A.    Yes, Operation Crusader  has alliances with all types of businesses.  We understand that it is your client and do everything that we can to support them working with you throughout the process.  We would like to be an added benefit that you can offer to help your clients either solve an issue or feel good about the process.

Financial stress in the workplace hurts employee morale and lowers productivity.  Operation Crusader wants to work with you to help your employees understand how money works.  Our goal is to lessen financial stress through education and understanding.  Since the majority of classes happen in the evening, it will not take time away from the employee's jobs.
